Onijagbo Tasks ICCIMA on Entrepreneurship Sensitization

The Ibolo Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture ICCIMA has paid a courtesy visit to Onijagbo of Ijagbo, HRM, Oba Buhari Adeniyi Sharafa Babalola to seek royal support, cooperation, and advice on the chamber’s developmental programmes.

The ICCIMA team was led by the President, Mr. Paul Olagunju on Saturday, 10th of June 2023.

The president in his address appreciated the monarch for the warm reception of the ICCIMA team, adding that the Chamber has come to congratulate the monarch on his installation as the new Onijagbo and preach the good tidings of ICCIMA to the king.

Mr. Paul Olagunju noted that God has blessed Ibolo communities with human resources but the level of development is at the lower ebb because the communities are not organized to access opportunities and initiatives of the government.

Speaking further, the President said one of the objectives of ICCIMA is to foster unity, progress, and love in the communities by coming together in unity to facilitate growth and development in Ibolo land, he added that all the communities in Ibolo have an equal stake in ICCIMA to benefit from the good tidings of the chamber.

The President stressed further that ICCIMA is basically functioning to know the agricultural products that each community in IBOLO can produce for commercialization. He said Ibolo land has gold, copper, and other mineral resources but not benefiting from the resources because the communities have not annexed the opportunities, he noted that the goal of ICCIMA is to annex natural resources, small-scale businesses, and employment generation by setting up a processing industry in Ibolo land through linkage with the Bank of Industry and other relevant agencies.

Onijagbo of Ijagbo in his response commended ICCIMA President and members for the visitation.

Kabiesi noted that ICCIMA is a good channel that will reshape the primitive methods of farming and assist youths to tap into opportunities in order to be self-reliance.

The monarch tasked ICCIMA to embark on entrepreneurship sensitization for the people in Ijagbo for more exposure and insight into new opportunities.

According to him, “I want a situation whereby we can empower people and encourage them to start up a business.

“I want you to embark on training for my people to widen the scope of their exposure to new opportunities in the area of ICT, Agriculture, and Entrepreneurship training,” he said.

He, therefore, pledged his maximum support for ICCIMA as the chamber is at the forefront of re-channeling peace, growth, and even development in Ibolo land.
