Founding Members Inauguration Meeting

Inaugural meeting of the founding members of the Ibolo Chamber of Commerce held on Friday 27th December, 2019 at the Avalon Hotel, Offa, Kwara State.  This was the first physical meeting held by the group.  It marked the commencement of the Chamber of Commerce activities.

The meeting noted the peculiarities of the Ibolo Chamber of Commerce as a social economic platform to serve the interest of all the communities within Ibolo;

• Promote economic and commercial activities within the communities
• Harness and promote business entities – build a robust database of businesses
• Identify and promote comparative and competitive advantage of Ibolo communities
• De-emphasize historical difference but focus on economic transformation – whereas the communities provided the platform, the operations and objective would be economic development of all.
• Attract local and international investors in critical sectors – trade mission, trade fair etc
• Empower business and entrepreneurs within the community
• Identify critical component of ease of doing business and work with relevant agencies of government and community leaders to take advantage of same.
• Above all, emphasized the need to create wealth in Ibolo community
